Conferences are an important resource for all nurse practitioners, who use them as a way to maintain their professional development and grow their network. Often organized around a particular specialty practice area and/or professional organization, conferences allow attendees to meet other practitioners, discuss advocacy issues, and learn about new research and best practices. They are also a valuable source for the contact hours (CH) of continuing education (CE) that nurse practitioners need to earn and maintain their licenses and certifications.
Conferences benefit from their in-person format: the connections made between the workshops, lectures, and award ceremonies can be tremendously valuable. However, the shift to virtual conferences in 2020 (due to covid-19) has accelerated and improved the digital offerings that go with the in-person events. Today, many top conferences will also include a virtual price, which enables the purchaser to access the recordings for most or all of the conference’s workshops and lectures.
The importance and power of nurse practitioners coming together under a common goal is hard to overstate. Whether you’re a student, novice, expert, or veteran nurse practitioner, conferences can be an invaluable resource to your career. Read on for a detailed look at the nurse practitioner conferences for 2026.
